“Romance, like hot butter on chiffon or the sentimental mystery of love gas.
This is our greatest yearning.
The most romantic creature? Birds…“
Jim Moir
We are delighted to announce our forthcoming exhibition of paintings, drawings and watercolours by the multi-talented Jim Moir b.1959 (aka Vic Reeves).
The show will feature new works, and will run from 20 February to 4 March 2020 at Grosvenor Gallery in St. James’s London. The artist will be in attendance at an invitation only private view on Wednesday 19th February.
Jim’s inspirations are wide ranging, encompassing celebrity, nature, architecture and peculiar fantasy assemblages. The product of a constantly creative mind, Moir says of his art; “I think putting your imagination on canvas or a television screen is the same thing. If you’ve got an idea you have got to have an outlet for it. So if it’s painting, poetry, singing or acting it all comes out somewhere.”
Romance, New Work by Jim Moir, runs at Grosvenor Gallery from 20 February to 4 March 2020.
*This will be a very popular show. Please contact the gallery for details of the works in advance of the opening.

Hi Jim could you fix it for me to paint me a picture exclusively for me please. How much would it cost? Very kind regards Mark.
Exquisite poetry, yet I would expect nothing less from a solicitor of the partaking of the Michael. As an overzealous owner of a Mickey Mouse degree, could I be so bold as to suggest that Romance might also be likened to a hot button on chiffon, and that sentimentality often lingers much longer and more sweetly, than love gas.
